If you want to find out what childcare is available in your area, you can contact your local Family Information Service (FIS) or search for services on the Family Information Directory (FID) on the main Daycare Trust website.
Both the FIS and the FID hold details of all registered childcare providers in your area, including nurseries, childminders, playgroups and more and depending on the service offered, may be able to find childcare arrangements that are suitable for you.
You can get contact details for your local Family Information Service by using the Family Information Directory on the main Daycare Trust website or by contacting 0800 234 6346.
There is a range of childcare information available on our main website www.daycaretrust.org.uk, that can help you to choose the type of childcare that might suit you best, for example. You can also contact our Information Line to speak to someone about your childcare options or any other issues you may have related to your childcare.
Contact us on 0845 872 6251. Alternatively you can email your enquiry to us at info@daycaretrust.org.uk.
The
'Essential guide to childcare for you and your family' series from the Department for Education can help you understand what your childcare choices are, how to arrange childcare, and guidelines on how much it will cost.
