NHS Childcare Allowance
If you are studying to be a health care professional you can apply for help towards your childcare costs through the NHS Childcare Allowance. The allowance is means-tested and offers up to 85 per cent of registered childcare costs with maximum costs set at £123.25per week if you have a 1 child under aged 15 or under (17 if the child has a disability or a special need), and £182.75 per week if you have 2 or more children.
The allowance is usually paid in monthly instalments for 52 weeks of the year. You cannot apply for the childcare element of Working Tax Credit if they are receiving this allowance.
