You are generally only able to receive financial support for your childcare through Government funding if you are studying on a teacher training course (such as a PGCE) or a social work course at post-graduate level.
You may be able to apply to a research council relevant to your area of work for some financial assistance during your studies. For details of research councils, see www.rcuk.ac.uk.
You may be able to apply for some financial support through the Access to Learning Fund that is administered through your college or university.
